What side effects does Phenytoin?

I was recently diagnosed with seizures and they are putting me Phenytoin. Im not sure of the side effects.. Has anyone taking this medicine or know anything about it? Please help... Thanks

Drugs metabolized by cytochrome P450 (e.g., diazepam, warfarin, phenytoin, cyclosporine, disulfiram, benzodiazepines): Omeprazole can prolong their elimination. Monitor to determine need for possible dose adjustments when taken with Omeprazole. I'm feeling a little anxious and need to take a xanax but scared too. The xanax is the lowest dose. I can't call a pharmicist or my doctor because it's late at night.

I usually take half of a peach one so I think the dosage is .25 or .2.5???? I have to take prilosec for H.Pylori. I am done with the antibiotic (thank goodness...I took my last antibiotic at 3p.m. today.) I have to take prilosec for 2 more weeks. I don't really want too.. I still feel like crap..not from the ulcer but it seems like from the meds. I still have a nasty taste in my mouth and my tummy is queasy. I haven't been sleeping either. So my body is stressed. How long does the prilosec stay in your body? The clarithromycin(sp)? Since I'm trying to eradicate H.pylori is there something else I could take instead of prilosec...something easier on the tummy? I hate taking drugs that seem by the side effects it could hurt you more than help you Thanx for any advice

my cousin has been troubled with such things for a decade.He was ok before he was given a stroke during a medical test.He is ok when awake,even is allowed to drive,but now and again during sleep he wakes to find he has lost his short term memory for the previous 24 hours,or so.Some times he has slept walked before waking.His memory slowly returns,but he feels sick for a part of the next day.He takes Phenytoin epilepsy medication,but no-one has ever told him for sure it is epilepsy.As he lives alone no-one sees if he does have any kind of fits or not.I believe there are non epilepetic fits in adults? I would appreciate any advide or help on this thank you
