Ketorolac FAQ
What does the very beginning of a Stevens Johnson Syndrome rash look like?
When I look on the internet, I can only find the non-skin symptoms (ex. fever, flu-like feeling, aches) and pictures of severe, progressed SJS. What does the rash (on the skin, not inside the mouth) look like at the ~very beginning~? I was severely sunburnt eight days ago (I have albinism) and was given ketorolac, Zofran, and fluids for rehydration by IV in the hospital, and sent home with a six-day course of methylprednisolone and more Zofran. My sunburn has healed (save for a little flaky peeling) everywhere but the backs of my thighs and knees. I have purplish red dots on my skin and peeling (in large thin sheets, worse than everywhere else with same exposure.) I had a follow-up appointment this morning, and my first doctor consulted two more doctors before determining that I ~probably~ didn't have SJS. I've since gotten another painful red sore that is peeling. It doesn't look like a regular sunburn. I have been taking Lamictal for approximately six months without any problems, but after the doctor brought it up (before dismissing it) I read on the Mayo Clinic's website that SJS could be caused by radiation or UV light as well. I feel like I'm being a little paranoid, but after seeing pictures of people with SJS, I really would like to make sure I don't have it.
I had a gall bladder surgery 2 days ago, my head doesn't stop hurting, any idea why this could be happening?I had a gall bladder surgery 2 days ago, they used Laparoscopic surgery, so I really don't feel any pain, just a bit uncomfortable. But since the surgery I have these headaches come and go, behind my eyes and on my temples; also my eyes feel like tired, even to watch tv. I'm taking ketorolac with is the medicine the doctor gave me for the post-surgery symptoms, and it seems to help for a little bit, then headache comes back. Any idea of why I could be having these headaches? No ignorant answers please! Only answer if you know what you're talking about or you've had this before! Last thing I need is a GO SEE A DOCTOR! answer. Thanks. Thank you Miss Gretchen, I stopped taking ketorolac since the surgery doesn't really hurt and headache is gone. I never would have guessed that a pain killer would give me pain!
