Ibuprofen FAQ

Ibuprofen?????????????????

Is taking 3 Ibuprofen pills bad for a 93 pound 5'2 14 yr old?? really bad headache is what i had and i eat regularly.. ive become ummune to take 1 or 2 at a time

Are my headaches (read for more of my problems), the symptoms of something serious ?

For the past 2 months, I have been suffering from severe headaches (they are not migraines). I've noticed that these headaches are getting worse every single day, I've also started to get dizzy very often (Whenever I lie down and then sit up slowly, I get dizzy) and the dizziness is followed by more headache pains. I keep getting hot flashes randomly, it's gotten so bad that I have to basically sleep without clothing on and open my windows and things, which still doesn't help me. I wake up in the night times, sweating. I'm 16 years old and am sitting my GCSE's at the moment. These headaches are not due to Stress, because I don't get stressed at all (Honestly, I don't feel any stress whatsoever). Also if it was stress, how come the headaches are getting worse? It's not a lack of fluids either, I drink about 4 litres a day. I eat fine as well. I also suffer from A LOT of jaw problems, it keeps moving out of place, when I sing/talk/eat/drink/yawn, it's not painful, just uncomfortable. I was thinking that maybe I had bruxism, but I'm not sure. I don't want to go see my doctor because the last time I went he prescribed me ibuprofens (1600MG tablets - i think) and I was told to take them 3 times a day. They had no affect on me. Neither does paracetamols, CoCodamols. I have been severely depressed in the past, and I used to be bulimic and anorexic. Would these past problems have anything to do with it? Thank you for your help ! XX

can too much tylenol cause seizures? ANSWER QUICK!?

can more too many tylenols or ibuprofens cause you to have a seizure????????????

It's been years, and I'm sick of feeling like this!?

I don't know if anyone will be able to help me, because I've been to so many doctors and I just kind of gave up. I'll be as detailed as possible, any suggestions are more than welcome. GENERAL: Age: 16 Gender: Female Height: 5'9 / 175cm Weight: 128 lbs / 58 kilos This started when I was around 11 years old, and has been on and off for a while, the past nine months have been the toughest yet. GENERAL SYMPTOMS - ALWAYS tired, no matter how much I sleep. - Chronic headaches which never go away (feels as if it is behind the eyes) - Stiff neck sometimes. I was diagnosed with mononucleosis about a year ago, and I assume that I have recovered from this. I was also diagnosed with anaemia a few months ago, but I stopped taking the pills due to nausea and tried to contemplate with iron-rich foods. Periods are regular, though my headaches tend to get less during my menstruation. I was also diagnosed with tonsillitis last month, though this is better now but I remain to cough a very tickly dry cough all the time. I feel awful generally, and it's affecting my concentration, willpower and school work. I probably should mention that I am a very hard-working kid, with lots of school pressure and stress (I spend hours working a day). I don't want to sound like I'm dying, I know there's people who have it far worse out there.. but can anyone suggest anything? I've had MRI scans, blood tests.. and it just doesn't seem to show much. Could it be depression? Oh, also, I've tried several painkillers/paracetamol's but the only one that seems to really numb my headaches is 'Ibuprofen'.. the kind that you dissolve in water. I don't like taking it though because it makes me nauseated. Warm regards.

Scenario's for EMT's and Paramedics?

Ok so I was in class last night and they had this scenario of guilty or not guilty of negligence as an emt the case was a woman who called complaining of pelvis pains, lower stomach, and hard to walk. So the emt's assumed it was PID and told her to take some ibuprofen and she will be fine, turns out she had a ruptured ovarian cist.. Of course they were charged with negligence... BUT what if the patient was to state in fact she did have PID so they assumed that was what was causing the pains, but it was because of the ruptured ovarian cist? would they still be charged with negligence? Another question... We were also discussing the right to refusal . My instructor stated that calling 911 is not expressed consent for health care to take place.. but what if the patient was to call stating I need help, please send paramedics how would that NOT be expressed consent.. I asked my instructor and he kind of just brushed off the question.. IF YOU READ MY QUESTION IT SAYS THE RIGHT TO REFUSAL YES I'M CURRENTLY LEARNING ABOUT THIS STUFF... i LIVE IN NEBRASKA SO THE LAWS ARE PROBABLY ARE DIFFERENT SO DONT GIVE ME SHIT LIKE DUH DONT BE ELEMENTARY IN NEBRASKA A PATIENT CAN CALL 911 AND THEN SIGN THE REFUSAL FORM.. BECAUSE THEY SUPPOSABLY DID NOT GIVE EXPRESSED CONSENT TO TAKE THEM TO THE HOSPITAL..... THEY DID NOT SAY TAKE ME TO THE HOSPITAL.. BUT I WAS SAYING STATING ON THE PHONE WITH THE DISPATCHERS THAT YOU NEED HELP IS NOT EXPRESSED CONSENT
